Hurricane Ridge Elopement Shoot x Sarah Wettleson

It's no secret I love bridal style - it's a niche within my already "niche'd" business that's captivating. There's nothing like lace dresses, alternative bouquets, loose hair, adventure couple photoshoots, and the most whimsical wedding to bring out your romantic side. If this sounds like you, prepare for your jaw to drop in envy at these beautiful styled shoots with my girl Sarah Wettleson. She loves her PNW + SoCal shoots but has travelled real (and exciting) distances with her couples too - if nothing else, you MUST check out her shoot in Turkey. It's beautiful. Oh, and her camera lens has been up close and personal with GOLDIE flippin' HAWN too - what?!

Sooo needless to say, I was super excited to provide all the jewels for her elopement photoshoot in early August. What did I pick? HOW did I decide? And more importantly as the girl rocking it all how do you choose what to get? It's hard enough selecting a few favorites but when it's a moment captured forever, your wedding, the pressure often feels like it's in the small details.

Here's how Sarah and I pulled together a few pieces for a simple and elegant bohemian style.
THE DRESS - probably the most iconic checklist item (and all the accessories revolve around it). As you scroll down you'll see why we picked what we did, but these were the kickers.
~
1. Overall Style - the gown was simple but was played up towards some bohemian hipster vibes. Between the high slit, leather jacket and sweet hat the woodsy shoot had us leaning towards minimalist statement jewelry.

2. Neckline - it was a deep V so we wanted something to fill the space but not  overshadow the clean look. Our bride wore the single moon on a 20" chain so it would play off the neckline and completed the look.

3. Sleeves - She wore a sweet jacket so we played off the edgy vibes. The Midnight Sands earrings in sterling silver were a nice compliment, creating a little flash and the moon theme added to the nature of the woodsy shoot.

4. Rings - the couple didn't have their rings yet so we didn't need to tailor our choices to anything. I sent the Pacifica Raw Diamond Ring and Mesa Comfort Fit bands in sterling silver to sub-in as the engagement rings - I might be biased but I think they're a sweet replacement. ;)
